The Video Analytics Solution is a platform utilizing image processing and artificial intelligence to detect and analyze defects in manufacturing and assembly lines. These release notes pertain to version 1.5.0.

Compatibility

The VQI solution was tested on Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS.
The MLP version used is 6.6.2.
The Torch serving version is 5.3.1 for BDD, and 6.0.3 for AQI and ODCC.

New functionalities

Image-Based Analysis (IBA)

The Image-Based Analysis application is a video analytics tool that displays the workload of a conveyor belt and/or a production line. It does this by calculating what percentage of the production line is in use for real-time statistics, as well as for previous time intervals.

Improvements and updates

Implemented Pyston, a faster implementation of the Python programming language, and as a result, the performance of the solution improved by up to 15% (this number varies based on specific use cases.)
